INHERITING SAN FRANCISCO
Furniture collection, material research

Inheriting San Francisco is built from construction offcuts, discarded sheet goods, and stored hardwood scraps collected across the city. Material is used in the dimensions it is found, with cuts responding to available lengths rather than standard sizing.

The collection is split into two series. LAM uses aggregation, laminating small offcuts into dense structural members. NOMAD uses assemblage, connecting raw components directly to form lighter, more open structures.

Joinery is screw based and marked by terrazzo plugs cast into the holes, creating a consistent visual system across all pieces. Sawdust is retained and packed into ripstop fabric sleeves to form compressive fill elements that introduce softness into the structures.

Side stools are assembled from intersecting production offcuts, building mass at the base and stabilized with marble for counterbalance.

Across the collection, exposed material, visible construction, and reuse define a sculptural language informed by mid century modern proportion and balance.

Developed for the San Francisco Art Fair with Salon Anand. material support from York Street pop-up.
