Soft Matter is an ongoing public design project reclaiming space through softness, salvaged materials, and care. It responds to the violence of hostile architecture by proposing low-tech, community-centered interventions — from seating to play — that welcome instead of exclude. Installed in overlooked urban sites each piece reimagines urban design as both protest and possibility, using waste streams and public feedback to prototype new ways of being together in the city.
